Dr. Fun Man Fung is an Assistant Professor at the School of Chemistry at the University College Dublin, Ireland's Global university. Before this he was most recently an award-winning faculty at the National University of Singapore (NUS), Asia's top university (ranked 8th in the world). He obtained his basic and graduate studies at NUS. He was a former Assistant Director of Education at the NUS Institute for Applied Learning Sciences & Education Technology. From 2019-2021, he served as the elected secretary of the International Younger Chemists Network (IYCN). He is passionate about education, mentorship, youth empowerment, and civic engagement.

Dr. Fung’s educational YouTube Channel houses digital resources for lab techniques and chemistry knowledge, with over 3.5 million views. Dr. Fung has delivered invited keynotes and seminars at Stanford University, University of Cambridge, ETH Zurich, EPFL Lausanne, Switzerland, OECD, Sciences Po, University of Hong Kong, etc.

For this passion for teaching and learning, Fun Man was conferred the NUS Annual Digital Education Award, University Annual Teaching Excellence Award, and NUS Faculty Teaching Excellence Award.
He received the 2022 Xilong Scientific-Singapore National Institute of Chemistry Industry Award in Chemical Education, 2019 D2L award Innovation in Teaching and Learning, and QS-Wharton STAR Reimagine Education Awards for his effort in innovative teaching and learning approaches.
